To install your GL.iNet sensor, follow the steps below:

πŸ€“ Tip: For best performance place your sensor or sensors in public areas, such as till or bar areas. Make sure it doesn't get wet!

  1. Connect Ethernet Cable to Sensor.

    1. Take the remaining ethernet cable and plug it into the WAN port on the sensor.

⚠️ Important: Make sure you avoid pressing the physical reset button on the device. Long pressing the reset button causes the device to factory reset.

  3. Connect Ethernet Cable to Internet Source

    1. Plug the other end of the ethernet cable into any Ethernet port on your existing internet connection.

      • This could be a network wall socket, router or switch.

  4. Connect Power Cable to Power Source.

    1. Use a USB power plug or the Mikrotik USB port.

  5. Check your connection.

    1. Once connected the sensor will display 3 lights:

      • 🟒 Green - steady green light for power.

      • 🟒 Green - blinking green middle sensor when sending data to our servers.

      • πŸ”΄ Red - blinking red light for internet connectivity.

πŸ€“ Tip: If all three LED lights are active then the sensor is working.

Wait 3 minutes for the sensor to be ready to collect data and contact the Support team to complete the set up.
